Timo Werner to Chelsea FC?

According to a report by Bild, Timo Werner will be leaving RB Leipzig this summer and join Chelsea. The 24-year-old decided in March to leave Leipzig for the English Premier League, both Liverpool and Chelsea were interested from the beginning but the Blues are now the clear favorites.

Chelsea have agreed a deal in principle to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.

The Germany international striker has a €55m (£49.4m) release clause which expires on Monday June 15.

Werner has a reported £53million release clause in his RB Leipzig contract and it is understood that Chelsea are now in advanced talks with the German club over how the deal will be structured.
